If you are looking for increased confidence and self-esteem, reduced anxiety and stress or something more specific like managing phobias or improvements in your health and wellbeing (including post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain and ill health, and tinnitus), get in touch to find out how cognitive hypnotherapy can help.

Hypnotherapy

Welcome!

Cognitive hypnotherapy is a gentle therapy that uses hypnosis alongside other cognitive techniques to help to create small but effective changes at a subconscious level.

Cognitive hypnotherapy can help with many life challenges including:

  • anxiety symptoms and stress;
  • fears and phobias;
  • goal setting coaching and procrastination;
  • self-confidence and self-esteem;
  • trauma and PTSD;
  • controlling anger and other strong emotions;
  • competition and performing at your best in work and exams;
  • chronic health conditions such as tinnitus;
  • living well with long term health conditions including chronic pain.

I also offer Past Life Regression. Please get in touch to find out more.

It’s all about the unconscious mind….

Much of what we experience on a day to day basis is driven by the unconscious mind and when we experience unhelpful emotions, or responses to situations, it can feel like no matter how hard we try, we can’t break out of them.

Chronic health conditions can also be affected by unconscious decisions and beliefs, and managing everyday life can be a struggle.

But the simplest things can create a shift in our perspective, and when this happens those unconscious responses are beginning to change.

Cognitive hypnotherapy uses techniques that help to communicate with the unconscious part of your mind to bring about the changes you want.

A bespoke therapy

The therapy sessions are tailored to you and develop out of an initial consultation. The sessions will involve a number of techniques best suited for the change you want to make.

I trained in cognitive hypnotherapy with its founder, Trevor Silvester, at the world renowned Quest Institute in London. The techniques we use are taken from:
• Hypnotherapy
• Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and
• Positive psychology

Techniques used include Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or tapping, Regression, Rewind and Gesalt.

Uniquely, cognitive hypnotherapy combines these techniques with the use of client-tailored ‘Wordweaving’™ – a way of speaking to the unconscious mind of the unique individual, developed by Trevor Silvester.
